Weakness erodes the character, while humility strengthens it.

Weakness, and dealing with it, forms the character. We all have flaws. Most of us have virtues. In many truly interesting people, they are one in the same.

Absolutely. I meant it in the sense of not dealing with weakness.

Also, 'weakness' and 'humility' were used as near synonyms, not opposites.

Though it is quite wordy, this Quick Thought could be re-written as such: "Backing down from your principles is a weakness that erodes the character, while humility (which is often incorrectly perceived as a weakness) strengthens it."
