Good News - #21

Twenty weeks of the Good News is now behind us. This may be week twenty-one, but it is only the beginning of great thing to come. Really. (Due to the dynamic nature of news I do not know how long any of the links will remain active).

It can be tricky deciding which stories to choose each week, but sometimes certain stories really stand out. Lance Armstrong's victory is Lucky 7 for an inspirational cancer survivor.

A new development from Russia may help people survive fires in high rise buildings. It looks like a fascinating idea that may save many lives.

I understand that bad news is something that happens. I also understand that I personally don't get to decide what major media outlets will report. Here is an article that explains how the web is now delivering individuals the news they want.

I like to think of bad news as the proverbial tip of the iceberg - the bad news just barely sticks out above the water of life, while the vast majority of good news often remains below the surface. That is, not reported, but completely undeniable.
